As videos become reconstructable 4D assets, how can the content they capture be protected?
3D Gaussian splatting is now a mainstream representation for real-time scene synthesis, and feed-forward reconstruction turns an ordinary video into a renderable 4D asset within minutes. The people, products and places in that video need protection that acts before misuse.
My work covers the asset life cycle. Safe4D protects streamed video against unauthorized 4D reconstruction while frames are released one by one. 4DGuard embeds protection inside a 4D Gaussian asset so that every rendered view carries it. GaussLock immunizes 3D Gaussian generative models against unauthorized fine-tuning, and our survey organizes 3DGS intellectual-property protection into perturbation mechanisms, protection paradigms and robustness threats. I co-organized LifeGenIP, the ECCV 2026 workshop on life-cycle IP governance of visual generative models.
